Reflection
When the majority of us are running after or are in search of happiness, there are a few souls on Earth, who are running away from joy or are in search of sadness in order to avoid triggering sudden muscular weakness, paralysis or postural collapse caused by emotions such as laughter, sorrow or terror. For Charlie, it is joy that causes him to fall apart within seconds, makes you wonder how delicate and simple life is.

Charlie (Martin) is a Brooklyn-based librarian in his forties suffering from cataplexy, causing him to faint whenever he experiences strong emotions, especially joy. Upon meeting the charming and free-spirited Francesca (Baccarin), Charlie falls in love but sets her up with his brother Cooper (Jake Lacy) instead because of his condition.
