Universal Braille Kit Instruction Manual - Worth Trust

                                  

An instruction manual, which briefly describes the usage of various assistive tools and devices used by children with visual impairment, prepared by Worth Trust. The instruction manual is part of their Universal Braille Kit and covers assistive tools like Vasantha Braille Cube, Natesan Braille Block, Braille Slate & Stylus, Alphabet Block, Standard Abacus, Geometry Set & Drawing Tool, and Taylor Frame with Types.   

A resource kit worth having for educators & parents working with children with visual impairment in special and inclusive schools.

Q. Is there any scope for improvement ?

Ans. Yes, there is a good scope for improvement. Please feel free to adapt or modify the design.  

Suggestions:

1. To avoid the use of food items in preparing a TLM, instead of using cumin seeds (jeera), you can use anything (like ball bearings) that will produce an audible output for preparing the dice.
2. You can also place the reference sheet that will be used by the kids to understand the tactile markings on the left hand side of the chart.
